What is composite bonding?
Composite bonding is a cosmetic dental procedure where a tooth-coloured resin material is applied and hardened with a special light. This bonding material is used to improve the appearance of discoloured, chipped, or misshapen teeth.

The Procedure:
1. The tooth is abraded slightly this helps the bonding adhere to the tooth.
2. The tooth is prepared by different washes and product applications.
3. A resin od desired shade is applied in layers and set with a curing light.
4. To achieve a final finish the bonding is shaped and polished.
Composite bonding can take 30-60 minutes per tooth. The bonding material is hardened instantly with a curing light, allowing you to walk out with your new smile!

- Biting hard food or objects will chip or de-bond the resin
- To maintain an excellent aesthetic result, bonding may need to be polished or replaced over time
